In 1996, Dr. Richard Smalley, Dr. Robert Curl, and Sir Harold W. Kroto won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their discovery of fullerenes.

On a university campus, winning a Nobel Prize makes  you an immediate rock star. Thus, we have a baseball cap, celebrating the event, signed by Drs. Smalley and Curl.
