Fondren Poetry

Today, we have a library-themed poem and send off for the outgoing Head Librarian  William S. Dix. He left Fondren in 1953 to join the The Firestone Library at Princeton University. After moving on to Princeton, he fought for intellectual freedom and worked on The Freedom to Read statement.

Helen Chillman, the Music Librarian, wrote the poem. If you recognize the last name, her father was Dr. James H. Chillman, Jr.
