KTRU Tuesdays: Chip Monck

Bruce Kessler did not limit himself to interviews with musicians, he also tracked down people making history behind the scenes. Chip Monck served as master of ceremonies at Woodstock and worked on concerts/events, such as: The Rumble in the Jungle, Zaire 74, and the Altamont Free Concert.

In this interview from February 16, 1977, Monck discusses opening night at the Summit, The Rumble in the Jungle, Zaire 74, producing Neil Young’s tour, working with performers, the Altamont Free Concert, and The Rolling Stones American Tour 1972.
