Tech Thursday: Duncan Hall Construction Records

This week I finished processing the Computational Engineering Building (Duncan Hall) Construction records. The collection is open for research now, and the finding aid is posted on the TARO website. The records had been under the care of Dr. Keith Cooper, the faculty representative on the building design team, until they were transferred to the Woodson this summer. Dr. Cooper also maintains an ‘unofficial’ Duncan Hall website with information about the building’s design and history. Duncan Hall was designed by British Architect John Outram. Its colorful and elaborate design makes it unique on campus and attracts quite a bit of attention and commentary.

The collection contains submittals from contractors, the project manager’s files, photographs, and of particular relevance to this blog, civil, architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings. Come by and take a look.
