During finals week in 1973, the colleges engaged in water balloon fights, as they had for years. According to the KTRU interview clips, Sid Richardson College, given its height advantage, caused damage to the surrounding colleges. Massive water balloon launching was probably not the best way to deal with test anxiety.
Thankfully, for the south colleges, this water sport died. Now, Sid Rich’s constitution states that only free flowing water can fall from the balconies.
