In our Rice University scrapbook collection, we have a box that contains scrapbooks and other items from World War I and World War II. We have recently digitized a few of the photographs from the albums that focus on the latter war. The first is from Major W. T. Eldridge, III. It documents his time in Europe and includes a loose photograph of an unknown soldier posing with General Eisenhower.

The other scrapbook is from an unknown Rice alum. What few photographs remain in the album show the post-war occupation of Japan. If you recognize the man in the image above, please let us know.
