Senior Follies

A long-standing senior tradition that ended in the late 1960s, the Senior Follies showcased a variety of talents. In 1954, the follies included “a 12-piece orchestra, John Urquhart as ‘the man in the street,’ a comedy drill team doing ripple drill, a young lady with a Shetland pony on stage, magicians, dancers, songs, and the latest Rice witticisms” (The Rice Thresher, December 10, 1954). The image above comes from that event.
