Jim West Mansion - Corridor with Arched Ceiling

Designed by architect Joseph Finger in the late 1920s, the West Mansion lies adjacent to the Johnson Space Center. The West family sold the property to Humble Oil, who then donated it to Rice University. From 1969-1991, the mansion housed the Lunar Space Institute. Rice University then sold it to the Pappas family, who eventually sold the property to Hakeem Olajuwon in 2006.

We have a variety of images online that show the mansion before and after its 1969 renovation.
